Hardwood Floor Installation

Solid hardwood is the floor people picture when they think of a home that will last. It can be sanded and refinished many times, it adds warmth to every room and it holds its appeal as styles change.

We install solid hardwood for homeowners in Nashville and across Middle Tennessee, starting with a moisture check and a flat subfloor, letting the boards acclimate and laying them with the right expansion gaps. Red oak, white oak, hickory, walnut and maple are all common choices, unfinished for site finishing or prefinished for faster turnaround.

FAQ

Common questions about hardwood installation

Solid or engineered hardwood?

Solid is traditional and can be refinished many times. Engineered is more stable with humidity and works over more subfloors. We help you choose.

Which wood species are best for a busy house?

Hickory, white oak and maple are hard and durable. Red oak is the classic. Walnut is softer and beautiful but shows wear.

Can hardwood go over concrete?

Engineered hardwood can, with proper moisture testing and barriers. Solid hardwood needs a wood subfloor.
