Tile Floor Installation

Tile is the most durable floor in the house, and also the least forgiving of poor prep. A floor that flexes, a slab that is out of flat or the wrong thinset will crack tile within a season. Good tile work is mostly what happens before the first tile is set.

We install tile floors across Nashville and Middle Tennessee, checking deflection and flatness, setting a crack-isolation layer where needed, laying out the room so cuts look balanced and setting tile with the right thinset and spacing. Grout is mixed and applied carefully for even color and clean lines.

FAQ

Common questions about tile floor installation

Porcelain or ceramic?

Porcelain is denser and more water-resistant. Ceramic is easier to cut and often lighter in feel. Both work well indoors.

What size tile is best for my room?

Large tiles make rooms feel bigger with fewer grout lines. Small tiles fit around curves and offer grip in wet areas.

Can tile go over existing floors?

Sometimes, if they are flat and stable. We check and tell you.
