Subfloor Repair & Leveling

A beautiful floor on a bad base will not stay beautiful. Soft spots, squeaks, dips and slopes telegraph through the surface and cause cracks, gaps and failed seams.

We repair and level subfloors for homeowners in Nashville and nearby cities, replacing damaged plywood, re-fastening loose areas and using sanding, patching and self-leveling compounds to flatten wood and concrete. We measure flatness against the tolerance your new flooring requires.

How flat does a floor need to be?

Many floors require within 3/16 inch over 10 feet. Large tile and vinyl often need tighter.

Can you fix a floor that slopes?

Often yes, with leveling compound or framing shims, depending on the cause.

Is a bouncy floor a structural problem?

Sometimes. We tell you if a carpenter or engineer should look at it.
